Let us here talk about sending Application and getting confirmation letter.
Preparing the Application

Most important thing is that your application is 'complete'. That means the data given are all correct. The data should be same as in your Passport and other certificates like SLC or HSEB or TU certificates. If your name in Passport is bibek dhakal chetri, then never write bibek DC or bibek dhakal chhetri, same thing applies for correspondence address and permanent addresse. All all other data about your certificate and CV etc. If the University founds two different data for same thing, or if some important certificate is missing then you will get a confirmation of rejection. So make sure that the data are correct.
Do not forget to send few (4-5) 'International reply coupon'. It can be bought in central post office in Kathmandu. Never wait for deadline of application, the earlier you apply , the better it is. But this does not mean that you should apply while you are doing G-II language, saying "...as soon as I am done with M-I I ll send the certificate. Please reserve a place for me in advance." This is senseless, because until you provide all important certificates your application form is incomplete and thus will not be processed. So, apply only when you have all certificates in hand.
Generally, the selection process starts after the deadline of application, but in some cases, better say some of the universities also send confirmation before deadline. For example, if the university has no or very few students from Nepal(in your case) or for some other reason.
But you should expect to get the confirmation ca 1 month after deadline. Just have patience!!! In very rare cases, one gets confirmation letter even after being rejected. This happens if you are listed in waiting list, because the seat is full. And if one of accepted students does not accepts the confirmation, you will be notified that your rejected application is accepted .
Once you get the confirmation letter, do not forget to send the Acceptance letter for your side(usually a cheat attached with confirmation letter). This is to assure that you have not changed your mind in meantime. And you must send it back till given date.
