So, here is what I have noticed: everywhere I go, there are like 3 guys for every 1 girl. This happens every single time that I go out. Yes, I tend to do bars or something that involves alcohol, but it is always the same. What are some things to do where the ratio is at least 1:1 instead of 3:1 guys:girls?
dance clubs or martini bars instead of pubs and pool halls. I dont have a lot of suggestions, my social circle is mostly high tech folks, very male. :)

Still working on meeting a girl who is into computers and whatnot. I think that's harder than finding women in general by a considerable amount.
Heck, you ever looked at the ratio on match.com? I did a search just the other day and it was 6:1 men:women*. So it would seem the answer is not "online".
I thought of something...several of my male friends have hooked up by taking dance lessons. swing dancing is pretty macho, you get to lift and throw the girl around :) i think the fad is more towards latin dances, lately. I dunno, i wouldn't want to do something i wouldn't normally enjoy doing, to meet someone. cause they aren't likely to be a person i share interests with. unless you luck out and meet someone who just went to meet people as well...
The girls are out shopping/window shopping.
The girls are out in fun places like an amusement park.
The girls are out partying.
The girls are in doing housework.

I can't say I've ever had anything more than a trist with any woman I've met in the places you're looking anyway. I'd suggest that you're looking in all the wrong places. I'm sure you've seen more than a couple of cute girls at the grocery store, the bookstore, etc. Additionally, social organizations designed around specific activities would offer an opportunity to meet women that you already have something in common with.
Expecting to meet a fantastic woman at the local pool hall is a bit off.

Have you actually tried dancing? Get yourself on the ground. See if grinding against a few hot little girls doesn't change your perspective on dancing.
