I realize Mobile Phones has become part of our life within the last 3 years of it's existence. One thing I wonder about is how does it feel to get dumped through SMS? I will like to know how my brothers and sisters feel about it?
Well i haven't tried it or had it tried on me. But i think it ain't cool. I think people should try to be more bold/open in their dealings/relationships/friendships enough to tell their partners' whats on their mind. Whoever does that must be chicken-hearted. Worse still if its a guy.
Well said bro. I believe it is an uncivilized way of exposing one's weaknesses. Whoever does that to a lady is not worthy of being called a man. No matter how your girlfriend is, you must be able to tell her to her face that "It is over" and thereafter, wait to be smacked.
Why not say it's all over his/her face? Saying it through SMS is not appropriate and that only shows that all along you haven't been truthful!
All I would say is that boyfriend-girlfriend relationships are over-rated. Anyway, about the break-up via SMS thing, the fact is that when you're rejected it hurts, whether it is done by SMS or e-mail or face-to-face. There is no way it can be done that would make the other party happy, really.
Fas bro I think we all knew you would be saying this haha. It is either you do not really understand the concept of bf/gf, or you are from the dark ages to say that bf/gf relationship is over rated. Putting it in another form, how do u get married if you don't know who you are marrying? or what do u think the ideals of "courtship"s all about? We have passed the age of arranged marriages.
Fas bro I am starting to get worried about you. Are you kidding us or do you really not understand what it means for a girl to be a guy's girlfriend or vice-versa? It means they are an item, they're seeing each other, they're dating, or whatever else it's called these days. Then and only then can the 'relationship' metamorphosis into an engagement or in some cases, marriage. Anyways, we're deviating here, I still very strongly oppose calling off a relationship over such things. From experience, you only do that knowing fully well that once you set eyes on the person in question, your resolve dissolves (pardon my pun).
Pun: A play on words, sometimes on different senses of the same word and sometimes on the similar sense or sound of different words. Ok, my question about this boyfriend/girlfriend thing is this. So you are not engaged, and you are not married or planning to be. So why can't you have more than one boyfriend/girlfriend? Why do you have to 'break up' with one girlfriend before 'acquiring' another??
Let me try for the last time. I find illustrations easier to grasp than lectures. I am presently ‘seeing’ someone She is not my fiancé and I am so not married to her, I should sincerely hope I'll be in the know if I was. The only reason we don't call ourselves b/girlfriend is simply because, well, maybe we're past that age group. So we simply say we're seeing each other. I wouldn't dream of even spending any time with another woman. Obviously, we're working towards taking this further but it has to be a step at a time. Having painted my life (in some fashion) as an example, I do hope you're now in the clear as to what it means for people to be dating, seeing each other or be b/girlfriend. Now, in the unlikely event that we reach a verdict of irreparable breakdown in our relationship, the most childish and impractical way to convey such a message will be over the phone or via SMS.
If my guy tries that I'll go to his house and beat the **** out of him. I cant stand cowards? Whats that?!
